HACIENDA DEL ALAMO GOLF RESORT

The 574 hectare golf course boasts a 7,440 yard course with 8 lakes and 84 bunkers. Designed by Dave Thomas to Championship standard, the course offers challenges to golfers of all levels and ability. The course is designed to follow the natural flow of the terrain with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and mountains from all the holes. The course is one of the widest and longest in Europe and the new number one in spain. Miguel Angel Jimenez is the golf ambassador for Hacienda del Alamo. The course has already hosted tournaments and it is clear that the intention is for it to host tour events in the near future.

You can walk out of our door, down the street and straight into the Hacienda del Alamo clubhouse.

With over 350 days of sunshine a year, Murcia is the ideal golfing location. The golf academy is state of the art with professionals with access to all the latest technology to help improve your game. The practice area has a 36 bay, two tier driving range, and six separate full size practice holes made up of 3 par 3, and 3 par 4 holes, plus two practice putting greens and bunkers.

Murcia has the largest concentration of golf courses per head of popluation in the whole of Spain, because it has the best weather in Spain - bearable summers and acceptable winters so golf is enjoyable all year round.

Our villa is centrally located in the new resort of Hacienda del Alamo, a 5 star golf resort near Murcia. Currently it is mainly geared to golfing holidays, but it also has tennis, football, paddleball and bowling green, as well as childrens play parks.

Our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa is on a large corner plot is centrally located to all the facilities on the resort - clubhouse, Spanish village and hotel. It has great views over the resort.

The villa is furnished to a high standard, is fully air-conditioned, sleeps six - there are two bedrooms downstairs both with en-suite bathrooms, one with bath and shower and the other with shower only, and the master bedroom upstairs with en-suite bathroom with shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. The lounge boasts flat screen TV with DVD player and access to many satellite channels. There is a dinning area inside, and the garden outside which is planted with native trees and bushes has a large patio area for outside dinning or relaxing. Up the stairs at the back of the garden leads to the swimming pool shared by the neighbouring houses. There are upstairs balconys front and back.

FULLY MANAGED BY LOCAL AGENTS

The property is fully managed by local agents, which allows you to tailor your holiday exactly how you want it. All linen and towels are provided, the bathroom will contain complimentary soaps and shampoos. The house will be cleaned thoroughly before you arrive. The service can include airport pick up, welcome food/drink pack, newspapers, a cook to prepare your meals in house, special occassion extras, restaurant bookings etc. All your golf needs can be arranged for you - tee of times, golf carts, driving range etc. Or, if you choose, you can just pay the basic rental fee and organise everything else yourself - you decide! Bookings periods are flexible, there is no minimum or maximum number of days. There are also no fixed in and out times. The agents on site are flexible to meet your needs.

Being centrally located in a stunning area of Spain with the mountains of the Carrascoy National Park providing a backdrop, Hacienda del Alamo is also ideally situated for the holiday maker that likes to get out and about and explore. Hacienda del Álamo golf resort is located next the town of Fuente Álamo in the region of Murcia, south east Spain. Murcia is the smallest autonomous region of the mainland. The golf resort is situated between the Costa Calida coast and the capital city, Murcia, which means it is ideally located to cater for both lovers of water sports and culture. Within 30 mins are some of the best beaches in the province on either the Costa Calida or Mediterranean Coast.

With its 73 kms of coastline and surface area of 170 square kms. The Mar Menor (Little Sea) is the largest salt water lake in Europe. To the West are the lovely and often lively seaside resorts of Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santiago de la Ribera, Los Narejos and Los Alcazares. To the South are the less developed villages of Los Urrutias, Los Nietos and Mar del Cristal. The East of the Mar Menor comprises of the La Manga strip, an area heavily populated in the Summer but quiet outside of the months of July and August. La Manga has the Mar Menor to its West whilst the East looks out to the Mediterranean. The wine producing town of Jumilla with its Bodegas is 45 mins away as are the Spa towns of Fortuna and Archena.

In the mountainous interior of the region are the towns of Caravaca, with its famous sanctuary, Moratalla, steep and picturesque, built on a hill around its castle and Lorca a jewel of a town with an architectural gem around every corner.

Near to Mazarron you can find the large gun emplacements at Cabo Tiñoso which some say was the location for scenes in the film "The Guns of Navarone" A visit to the old capital of Murcia, Cartagena is a must, with its Roman ruins and a replica of what the locals claim to be the worlds first submarine. The managing agents will be able to provide you will all the information you need to enjoy the area and the activities that take place nearby such as pony treking, horse riding, hiking and cycling, rafting on the Segura river and much more.

How to get here

There are two existing airports within easy reach of the resort, the closest is Murcia, and a little further away, Alicante. There are many car hire firms at both airports or you can get the managing agents to collect you. Car hire bookings can also be made for you via the managing agents.

By booking direct with us you will get a much cheaper price as you will not be paying the managing agents cut for getting you booking, but you will still get exactly the same service.
