This charming 53m2 apartment + 40m2 Sunny roof terrace is perfectly located in the lovely Born neighbourhood - Barcelona´s best area for visitors. (Sleeps 4 people).

The area... This apartment is located in the best part of the Gothic Quarter. The area, known as El Born or La Ribera has its own special atmosphere, full of narrow, winding streets.
It´s renowned for its great variety of charming restaurants, offering quality tapas, Mediterranean cuisine, the best seafood in town. There are also plenty of bars with their own "terrazas".
The locals and a handful of tourists know the right places to be in and give El Born its modern, artistic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

In just a few streets, you will find art galleries, artists studios, designer shops and museums such as the Picasso and Textile Museums.

The apartment is next to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar (Barcelona´s most beautiful, in my opinion) and a 10 minute walk to Barcelona's Cathedral.

The apartment... is stylishly decorated and tastefully furnished throughout - combining modern and antique styles.

The open plan space comprises a living room, kitchen and double bedroom. There is an additional double bedroom and separate bathroom with shower.

The "warmth" of the wooden floors and beamed ceilings, together with the choice of art creates an eclectic atmosphere in the apartment.

The kitchen has modern, cherry wood fittings. The whole apartment has been recently renovated and is fully equipped.

The flat is bright and airy and although located in the heart of town, it is quiet, so providing a good night's sleep.

The apartment is situated in an old, narrow building. The main door is old and very small, and there is no hall. 70 steps up a very narrow, traditional spiral staircase lead to the apartment, which then has the advantage of a roof-terrace (folding staircase) with parasol, table and chairs.
The perfect choice for those who like to enjoy the sun by day, or dinner overlooking the old city roof tops by night.

Both staircases are unsuitable for the eldery, people with disabilities, small children or anyone who might have a problem going up a very narrow staircase.

But don't worry, if you're fit and aren´t travelling with lots of heavy luggage, then it's worth the effort!

Our comments... " We would suggest this apartment for 1 or 2 young couples, you will be staying in the heart of "everything" in town, in a charming apartment and a great roof-terrace where you will enjoy special moments.
