A 66 m2 very charming and modern Apartment, centarly located in the Heart of "El Born" completely renovated , warm and stylish. Sleeps 3.

The area... This stylish "loft" apartment is located in the best part of the Gothic Quarter. The area, known as El Born or La Ribera has its own special atmosphere, full of narrow, winding streets. It´s renowned for its great variety of charming restaurants, offering quality "tapas", Mediterranean cuisine, the best seafood in town. There are also plenty of bars with their own "terrazas". The locals and a handful of tourists know the right places to be in and give El Born its modern, artistic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

In just a few streets, you will find art galleries, artists studios, designer shops and museums such as the Picasso and Textile Museums.

The apartment is next to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar (Barcelona´s most beautiful, in my opinion) and a 10 minute walk to Barcelona´s Cathedral.

This gives you an idea of the atmosphere of the area, but the location itself is unbeatable!

The apartment is 5 minutes from the harbour in the Barceloneta area, and continuing straight on, a 10 minute walk to the beach. Las Ramblas is to your right and the leafy tranquillity of La Ciutadella Park is 5 minutes to your left.

20 minutes direct line from the airport.

The apartment... is in a quiet but very central street, just a 2 minute walk to Montcada Street and around the corner from El Paseo del Born, with it´s cafes, terraces and stylish clothes shops. The 66 M2 apartment it´s in a completely renovated, old building (typical of the area) on the first floor, with no elevator.

The interior was recently refurbished (January'2003).

As soon as you open the door, you´ll find an open space comprising the kitchen and dining area with single bed (to sleep a 3rd person) which alternatively, can be used as a sofa/seating area.The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, with stainless steel fittings and a fantastic "retro" yellow fridge. There´s also an
attractive small table for eating. The floor in the kitchen area and the bathroom is modern grey concrete, the rest of the apartment has antique tiled floors with warm colours and a small intricate pattern. There are two small balconies.

The second space comprises bedroom / living room.

The bedroom is separated from the living room area by a low shelving unit with small decorative pieces on it, giving the living room a lot of character. The sofa, scatter cushions on the rug, pop art, and original lamps give a modern but warm atmosphere. There are also two small balconies in this area.

The bedroom area has a wardrobe and separate bathroom with shower and washing machine.
