The area... This apartment is located in the best part of the Gothic Quarter. The area, known as El Born or La Ribera, has its own special atmosphere, a mixture of the very old (narrow, winding streets,
Gothic churches, medieval buildings such as those that house the Picasso Museum and the Textile Museum)
and the very new (the most avant-garde shops, art studios and restaurants have set up in El Born). Scratch the surface and the archaeologists move in as the excavations of the medieval city under the old Born Market show.
Renowned for the great variety of restaurants, offering quality "tapas", Mediterranean cuisine and the best seafood in town, there are plenty of bars with their own "terrazas". The locals and a handful of tourists know the right places to be in and give El Born its modern, artistic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
In just a few streets, you will find art galleries, artists' studios, designer shops and museums such as the Picasso, the History of Catalunya and the Textile Museums.
The apartment is a stone's throw from the 13th Century Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar (the most beautiful church in Barcelona, in my opinion) and a 5-minute walk to Barcelona´s Cathedral.
This gives you an idea of the atmosphere of the area, but the location itself is unbeatable!
The apartment is 5 minutes from the harbour in the Barceloneta area, and continuing straight on, a 10 minute walk to the beach. Las Ramblas is to your right and the leafy tranquillity of La Ciutadella Park is 5 minutes to your left.

The apartment... is in a pleasant street, just round the corner from Plaza de las Ollas, Santa Maria del Mar and El Paseo del Born, with its cafes, terraces and ultra modern clothes shops and 2 minutes down the road from the Picasso Museum. The 80m2 apartment is located in a charming old building, completely renovated but with its antique character preserved. The building has an elevator.

The interior is modern and spacious. In the dining / living room area there are 3 double French windows opening onto small balconies, which, together with the high ceilings, make the room very bright. The glass dining table seats four and there is a sofa bed plus two blue armchairs. The terracotta floor tiles, carpets and warm colors make this a very inviting apartment.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, the green wood combines perfectly with the burnt orange walls, and there is a small table for 2 people.

The separate bedroom is comfortable and has its own balcony and the fully equipped bathroom is just off it.
