The area... Barceloneta ,formerly an island in front of Barcelona , is now the neighbourhood closest to the sea and harbour. The beach, fresh air and seaside walks are on your doorstep.

Why not rent a bike on the Paseo promenade and cycle down to "Escriba Café" to enjoy a great breakfast on its sunny sea facing terrace ? There are many recommended sea-food and paella restaurants close at hand.

Also near-by is the trendy El Borne in the Gothic quarter with its churches, narrow streets, boutiques and galleries. Las Ramblas - the heart of Barcelona - is only a 20 min. walk away along the harbour. Your nearest metro stop - "Barceloneta" - is 5 mins. away and there is a bus stop right in front of the building.

The apartment... A well appointed, 68m2, 5th floor rental apartment with elevator , comprising of : fully equipped kitchen / diner ,living room with balcony, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, both with balconies. Shower room.
(No dishwasher or washing machine - there is a launderette nearby)

The floors are parquet throughout and the ceilings are high with exposed beams. The apartment is in excellent condition, having been completely renovated in Jan2002.

There is a communal roof terrace with amazing views of Barcelona - the harbour, the beach. Take a deck chair up there, pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy..

Our comment... " This apartment is recommended for rent by a couple with children or 2 sets of friends. A great base from which to explore the roots of Barcelona - the sea, beaches and harbour. and the tapas.
