AIR CONDITIONED RENTAL VILLA FOR 6
This is a three bedroom self-catering villa for rent, which has all the facilities including air conditioning and will comfortably sleep six people.
The air conditioning doubles as heating for the winter and the log burning fire in the lounge provides extra warmth and cosiness during the cooler months.
Inside there is a lounge and fully equipped kitchen (brand new in 2007) and outside there is plenty of room on the terrace to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal.
RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
3 bedrooms, sleeps 6.
One bedroom with a double bed.
Two twin-bedded rooms.
Two bathrooms (new in 2007).
Outside our villa is a beautiful canal which gives this area the feeling of the Little Venice of Mallorca.
The villa is in a residential area about a ten minute walk from both the Port of Alcudia and the 7 mile white sandy beach which makes this wonderful town one of the most sought after holiday destinations in Majorca.
The beach is the equivalent of Juan les Pins in the South of France - but you often get much better weather here both earlier in the season and extending well into the Autumn. The webmaster has found swimming here comfortable even in late November.
The water is shallow and perfect for both children and swimming. It is within easy access to many excellent restaurants and bars. The shopping in the Port of Alcudia covers all tastes, including designer boutiques and duty free gift shops. The old town of Alcudia is also within walking distance and you can follow the locals and tourists alike to the very popular outdoor market twice a week.
INFORMATION ON ALCUDIA AND THE LOCAL AREA
Approximately 45 minutes drive from Palma and the airport. Alcudia is strategically situated at the neck of the peninsula separating the beautiful Bays of Alcudia and Pollensa in the northern part of the island. The area is famed for its stunning mountain scenery, sandy beaches and coves, and golf courses.
Originally a Phoenician settlement the town was built inland from its port (today Puerto Alcudia) as a defence against pirates and invaders. In the 2nd century AD it became "Pollentia" the Roman capital of Balearis Major. It was sacked by the Vandals in the 5th century, rebuilt by the Moors and with the conquest of Mallorca by Juame 1, in 1229, once again came under Christian rule. Construction of the city walls, to protect not only the village, but also the entire northern section of the island, was begun in 1298 and completed in 1362.
Today Alcudia's monuments and buildings have been carefully restored and the Old Town is a delightful mixture of old and new. Tapas bars, cafes and restaurants abound with tables spilling out onto the tiny paved streets. The pretty market place (famed throughout the island for it's Sunday & Tuesday markets) is a great point from which to explore and sample the present day (and night) delights of this lovely old town.
Puerto Alcudia lies at the northern end of the Bay of Alcudia's 11km sweep of curving white sand beach. This lovely old fishing village has restaurants, cafes, bars and shops lining the sea front and the tiny paved streets behind. "Shop till you drop" or meander around the marina, full of fishing boats and luxury yachts!
Alcudia and Pollensa have long been renowned for their popularity as family resorts - there really is something for everyone. Local activities abound - water sports, sailing, diving, golfing, horse riding, cultural sites - even sunbathing and relaxing! Nightlife centres around the local bars, cafes and restaurants in both Alcudia town and the Port area and features some fine restaurants, offering seafood, international or Mallorcan cuisine. However, if you fancy something a little livelier - look no further than the 7-mile sweeping Bay of Alcudia resort area.
For those who like history, the Roman forum of Pollentia, theatre and houses have been excavated. Sections of the medieval walls and several of the gates to the town still remain and behind them are narrow streets with some fine buildings. The nuseum is welll worth a visit.
Should you decide to wander further afield Puerto Pollensa, Pollensa Old Town, Cala San Vincente and Formentor are just a few of the places all within easy reach of the Alcudia area. About 40 minutes away by car are the famous Caves of Drax which are one of the most famous in Europe with their underground lake. Whether you want relaxation, culture or activity - you'll find it here!

Somewhere in the page above you'll find an "CLICK TO ENQUIRE" button or a straightforward email address on which to click. Enquiries go straight to the owner of the rental or property for sale . . . so if you are enquiring about more than one villa or apartment for sale or rent or generally about accommodation in the region, please send an enquiry individually relating to each property. Except for pages for a minority of clients, your enquiry is not going to a letting agency for all the properties in a region - you are booking direct with the owner . . . and for the reason below, we feel that you can have confidence in doing so.

As webmasters we are not acting as agents but are publishing what our clients have asked us to market for them.
During the course of working for our rental clients, we tend to get to know them quite well . . . and we only work for people who we can get along with, who we enjoy working for and who we can trust. We charge our clients partly on a commission basis . . . so we only work for good clients who provide a good service to their customers and have happy renters . . . such as yourself! For this reason we expect that you should have a good experience buying a property for sale or booking a holiday rental through our clients, and if you don't (very rare), we like to hear about it!
