The villa is situated on the island of Hydra, which is the only island in Greece with no motor driven cars. The lack of cars makes this a Greek Island renowned for its tranquillity, as well as its traditional architecture and deep clean waters. The villa is located 300 meters from the port.
THE RENTAL VILLA (Pool House and Pool Apartment)
The villa is a stone structure from 1880 that has been renovated into a hospitable holiday home for couples and families. It consists of 2 houses (the Pool House and the Pool Apartment) that share a large pool in a flowered garden. There is a common barbeque on the patio and a view of the entire island and port from the balcony and windows.
POOL HOUSE ACCOMMODATION (2 bedrooms. Sleeps 4)
The Pool House has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with fireplace, satelite TV and collection of books.
The Pool House property is heated and air-conditioned for year-round rental, with a view from the dining room over the harbour.
POOL APPARTMENT ACCOMMODATION (Double-bed area. Sleeps 2)
The pool appartment has 1 bedroom (steps up from the living area, separated by a drape), a fully equipped kitchen, sitting area with satelite TV and a totally unique bathroom which is build in a stone wall - with rock face forming part of the back wall, its rather like showering under a waterfall. The property is cool in Summer, because it has been carved out of the mountain-side, and heaters keep the property cosy in winter of low-season rentals.
A small staircase, closed by a trap door at the back of the kitchen connects the Pool Apartment with the Pool House. This door can be left open by families sharing a holiday, so that you don't have to walk outside to visit each other.
HYDRA TOURIST INFORMATION
The house is situated in a quiet area only 300 meters from the port on a main road. All the attractions on the island are placed on the port. There is a historical museum, old mansions renovated into site-seeing attractions, an ancient monastery on the port, the beautiful beaches and just walking through the small streets and taking a ride on a donkey on the higher levels of the island will make you keep coming back.

The price for the Pool House is 250 euros/day and the Pool Apartment is 150 euros/day. Children are most welcome. If you are interested, please enquire.
